Dan has almost 20 years experience and boasts an extensive skillset including cost benefit analysis and economic analysis, business case development, strategic business planning, ACT government budget preparation, economic research and policy advice.
Prior to heading Elton Consulting’s Canberra office, Dan held multiple roles in the ACT Economic Development Directorate, including Coordinator-General, Urban Renewal; Deputy Director-General, Land Development and Corporate; and Deputy Chief Executive, Land Development Agency. Dan had responsibility for coordinating key projects including redevelopment of Canberra CBD (City to the Lake) and the Capital Metro (light rail) corridor.
During his 14 years with ACT Government, Dan held a number of other senior roles including Acting Under Treasurer, ACT Treasury; Executive Director, Ministerial, Cabinet and Policy, ACT Economic Development Directorate and Director, Economic, Regional and Planning Policy, ACT Chief Minister and Cabinet Directorate.
Dan holds a Master of Management, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University.
