Scott Warren has 17 years’ experience providing comprehensive media and public affairs advice and strategy for the NSW Government and reporting on local, state and federal government.
His background in journalism and experience in communications for major government projects enables Scott to provide strategic and timely advice for any eventuality. Importantly, Scott is proactive in identifying potential issues before they arise. In doing so, he seeks to minimise risk and maximise desired project outcomes.
Prior to joining Elton Consulting, Scott worked in senior management roles for Transport for NSW. Most recently, as Principal Manager Media & Content, Scott established a team in the CBD Coordination Office to develop and execute strategies for media (including issues and crisis management), social media, web/digital, editorial and offline customer communication. Key projects that Scott worked on include Sydney Light Rail and related transformational CBD transport projects including Wynyard Walk, Barangaroo Ferry Hub and new CBD bus network.
Scott was also involved in developing landmark behavioural campaigns for the Centre for Road Safety including ‘Plan B’ and ‘Get Your Hand Off It’.
Scott has undertaken a Fairfax Media Journalism Cadetship and a Post-Cadetship Program with Deakin University.
