Elton Consulting has provided advice to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment on the social infrastructure required to support population growth arising from the Glenfield to Macarthur Corridor Strategy. The Strategy forecasts 14,900 new dwellings will be developed within the seven railway station precincts along the Corridor by 2036, with an associated population increase of 31,000 people.
The study examined capacity within existing social infrastructure and new facility requirements along the Corridor, with reference to demographic forecasts for each precinct. Consideration was given to how future social infrastructure requirements could be addressed, including via augmentation and upgrading of existing infrastructure. The study involved desk-top research and analysis and consultation with Campbelltown Council and State Government agencies.
