Will Roden

Project Director

Will co-leads Elton Consulting’s housing practice area. He is a strategy and policy development expert with a wealth of experience in affordable and public housing. He has worked at senior levels in the government and not for profit sectors.

Prior to joining Elton Consulting Will was Manager for Asset Strategy at NSW Land and Housing Corporation. In this role he oversaw the development of asset strategies for 70% of the NSW public housing portfolio. He led the successful business case to redevelop over $200 million in public housing property across Sydney into a mix of social, affordable and private housing. These projects resulted in substantial growth in social and affordable housing and cost reductions.

Will has expertise in the development of innovative tools to assess housing asset performance. He has extensive experience in the development of project funding models, contract negotiation and bid strategy.

As Director of the NSW Centre for Affordable Housing he successfully bid for $130 million in social housing funding, facilitating the delivery of affordable housing in high need areas of NSW.

Will holds qualifications in Social Work and Social Science (Housing Management and Policy) and is currently completing a Masters of Public Administration. He is a Member of the Australasian Housing Institute.
