Claire Paddison is a communications and engagement specialist, with 20 years’ experience in leading and implementing large, complex and controversial stakeholder engagement and communications for major public and private sector projects across all levels of government, resources, energy service providers and the not-for-profit sector.
Claire is an experienced practitioner, advocate and advisor in corporate stakeholder and community engagement, community development, crisis and issues management, strategic communications, corporate social responsibility, Aboriginal engagement and facilitating group decision making.
Playing a key leadership role across a number of businesses, Claire has been responsible for building internal capacity and leading the development and implementation of strategic approaches to both community engagement and stakeholder relationship management, to achieve both corporate and operational business outcomes.
Claire has a unique and diverse qualification history that spans from humble beginnings with a BA in Journalism from the University of Wales, and a certificate in effective Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute in the UK to Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School, a Foundation in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competence from TAFE NSW and Governance Financials for Not-for Profits from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She is also IAP2 certified in Public Participation and was invited to participate in revising the facilitation training module for IAP2.
She has achieved a Certificate IV in Project Management along with completing the Women in Leadership training from the Australian Institute of Management.
Her key achievements include IAP2’s National and International Organisation of the Year; and a Recognition Award from the Prime Minister’s Corporate and Community Partnerships NSW.
