Erika Jimenez is a communications specialist with more than 15 years in NSW Government developing and communicating clear, targeted key messages in collaboration with stakeholders for a diverse range of audiences.
Erika has extensive experience in delivering high level strategic advice and communication planning for multiple projects within fast moving and deadline driven environments.
A collaborative and influential communicator, Erika is able to translate complex and sometimes sensitive information into actions and plans. She has proven expertise in developing effective stakeholder relationships in complex public, corporate and community sector contexts.
Prior to joining Elton Consulting, Erika was Director, Communications and Corporate Strategy for the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet. Managing a team of nine; Erika oversaw all aspects of internal and external communications, provided strategic advice to Executive, Premier and Ministerial Offices, and delivered media and communications plans for over 190 national and international public facing projects and campaigns.
Previous roles in NSW Government include Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, where Erika built strategic relationships with media to deliver proactive campaigns and strengthen the reputation of NSW Government both in Australia and internationally. Erika also successfully integrated emerging digital technologies via smartphones and Apps into major projects and campaigns communication, and media policies to streamline real-time communication.
Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts Communications and English from the University of Wollongong, and an Executive Certificate in Event Management and a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from the University of Technology in Sydney.
