Melinda Hewitt excels in forming and managing key stakeholder relationships with community, business partners, and state and federal agencies. She couples this with a deep understanding of political, economic, environmental and social issues locally, regionally and nationally.
She has substantial experience delivering internal and external communications strategies, community engagement frameworks, master and place planning and place activation strategies, social planning projects, and economic development analysis and initiatives.
Melinda has a strong background in senior leadership positions with expertise operating within complex adaptive systems, change processes and organisational transformation. Prior to joining Elton Consulting, Melinda worked on place activation strategies for the Sydney Metro North West Places program. She also supported the Local Government sector through recent reforms across metro and regional NSW.
Melinda holds a Masters of Management (Community Management) from the University of Technology, Sydney; and a certificate of completion Senior Executives in Local and State Government program from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Cambridge Massachusetts. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently completing a Masters of Science – Coaching Psychology.
