Melinda Hewitt excels in forming and managing key stakeholder relationships with community, business partners, and state and federal agencies. She is an experienced strategist, people manager and leadership coach. Her career has spanned from not-for-profit community services, government to the private sector. She draws on her background in all sectors to enhance leadership, performance and governance underpinned by social justice principles.
She has substantial experience delivering internal and external communications strategies, community engagement frameworks, place planning and place activation strategies, social planning projects, and economic development initiatives.
Melinda focuses on bringing both strategy and leadership development closer. She has a strong background in senior leadership positions with expertise operating within complex government settings, managing change processes and organisational transformation. Prior to joining Elton Consulting, Melinda worked on place activation strategies for the Sydney Metro North West Places program. She also supported the Local Government sector through reforms across metro and regional NSW.
Melinda holds a Master of Science – Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney, a Master of Management (Community Management) from the University of Technology, Sydney; and a certificate of completion Senior Executives in Local and State Government program from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Cambridge Massachusetts. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
