Rebecca Gallacher is Director, ACT, for Elton Consulting and has 17 years’ experience as a planner working across public and private sectors in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Prior to joining Elton Consulting, Rebecca held senior roles within a number of commercially focused planning consultancies, with a focus on property investment, strategic property management and brownfield regeneration. She has a very commercial mindset, and a broad skillset which allows her to work effectively across a range of projects and issues.
Rebecca is passionate about the private sector’s role in delivering planning outcomes and advocates for better understanding of the drivers affecting both the private and public sectors. Rebecca looks for win-win outcomes, based on clearly articulated common ground.
Rebecca holds an honours degree in Resource and Environmental Planning from Massey University, NZ; a Masters in Environmental Law from Australian National University, and is active in a number of industry groups. She is currently a director of the Planning Institute of Australia.
