Samantha Weir is a skilled project director and communications and engagement specialist with more than 15 years’ experience working in communications and stakeholder engagement roles for local and state government.
Samantha has supported a number of high profile and sensitive NSW Government reform projects, including for the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and former NSW Department of Planning and Environment. She helped develop, design and write material to support the NSW Government’s local government reform priorities. All of these projects have required excellent project management skills and the development of clear and succinct communication of technical information for a range of audiences.
Samantha has excellent strategy and writing skills and a wealth of critical stakeholder and issues management experience. Her work regularly involves designing and delivering reform-oriented communications and consultation material and she is adept at working with people of diverse skills and backgrounds to achieve positive project outcomes.
Prior to joining Elton Consulting, Samantha held a number of positions with Waverley Council, including Executive Officer Communications in the General Manager’s Unit where she established Council’s communications section.
Samantha holds a BA Communications from the University of Technology, Sydney.
