Fisherman’s Bend is Melbourne’s newest major strategic urban infill precinct. The Normanby Road development comprises a 45-storey mixed use development, with a requirement for 15% GFA commercial/employment space and 10% affordable housing.
Elton Consulting was engaged to provide Affordable Housing advice. The scope of work included benchmarking of affordability in the Fisherman’s Bend context, and negotiation with affordable housing providers in preparing a framework for delivering affordable housing in the development.
A final report was prepared for the Planning Authority as to how affordable housing could be provided to support the sustainable delivering of the project.
