Veris Reflect is our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
Elton Consulting, A Veris Company, is now a member of the Reconciliation Action Plan community. Through the launch of Veris Reflect we begin a national journey of reconciliation.
Elton Consulting has played a key role in the design and development of our RAP. We’re very proud of the action plan which has been published on the Reconciliation Australia website. We look forward to implementing actions for reconciliation.
Our RAP was created in partnership with Reconciliation Australia. It provides a framework to build a diverse and inclusive work culture and to respectfully work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and peoples.
Through this initiative, we are positive we will build meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, peoples and communities in our markets. Through implementing Veris Reflect, we are laying the foundation for a long-term commitment to establish and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with our First People.
As a team and as individuals, we have a long history of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities on a philanthropic and project basis. At a corporate level, Veris also provides support to positive initiatives such as the Laverton Cycling Project – a project that provides health, wellbeing and mentoring for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth in the greater Laverton area. Veris Reflect will further strengthen our stance and uphold our value of inclusiveness and respect.
The RAP provides an 18-month framework to encourage and support our colleagues in building positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, peoples and communities. It also outlines Veris’ commitment to promote positive race relations and improve employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
